Who are Modern Seers?
Seers are those aspire to go beyond the limits of perception imposed by biology, culture or other forces. The name of the organization Modern Seers stems from the distinction between modern and ancient seers. Outwardly modern and ancient seers are similar—both seek knowledge through deeper awareness, but they differ in their intention. Modern seers seek Freedom through Wisdom. Ancient seers, on the other hand, hunt Power.
Why are Modern Seers needed?
Most people today, including those who believe that they are being spiritual, behave like ancient seers, too dense in their own minds to admit their powerlessness and to truly allow the Universe to flow through them.
The human mind is wonderful to a point. It is our memory, imagination and creativity. But it also hides us from Vibrant Universe, which is far more amazing once realized. It is the tendency of allowing our focus to be channeled through narrow and biased views of external circumstances that hides us from Reality. We are still too overly invested in various thought forms, be it culture or other confined senses of self, which in turn amplifies the false and fragile need for power. This cuts off our ability to be truly free, and the yearning for that true freedom is becoming impossible to ignore in the 21st century.
Now, every part of human being has its own authentic truth. Your body, mind, emotions, social group and culture have their own voices. Finding a balance among these often conflicting interests can only be accomplished by focusing on your deepest desire, on what your soul yearns for. Discovering and following your soul is the key to living your life with passion and gusto—happiness and satisfaction will naturally come along. Nothing else will work. Rejoice, for this is the spiritual path.
Our Movement
Modern Seers celebrates simple, honest and effective spirituality.
We are interested in people who are ready to act, who are ready to walk their talk. Engaging is all about action—no empty talk, no false promises, no excuses. A person can go through the motions of meditation, chanting or prayer—and the scene may look sincere—but they are not moving. Yet, this movement—going beyond being stuck—defines spirituality. We want you to be truly spiritual in action, in movement, real.
We insist on examining effectiveness of outdated traditions and ridding humanity of notions that no longer work. In the conflict between outdated beliefs and authentic spirituality, spirituality must win. Modern Seers calls beyond dogma. God, the Source, is more important.
Modern Seers calls for complete cultural overhaul of humanity. Let there be a healthy synergy of vibrant mystical culture, happy and easy-going attitude, poetic depth, broadmindedness, colorful magical tapestry and pragmatic focus on getting things to work.
